Our Mission and Biblical Mandate

Christians Standing With Israel (CSWI) is an evangelical ministry established upon an unwavering, unconditional biblical mandate to stand defensively, educationally, and prophetically alongside Israel and the Jewish people. Our foundational objective is to push past institutional frameworks, dismantle replacement theology misconceptions, and realign modern believers with clear theological realities dictated by eternal scriptural covenants. We do not approach our support for Israel as a political position or a cultural preference — we approach it as a non-negotiable response to the Word of God.

There is profound Scriptural support for the sacred obligation bestowed upon Christians by God to pray and care for His people — the House of Israel. Our Lord set forth the definitive guidelines under which this ministry operates when He commanded us to “Comfort ye, comfort ye my people” (Isaiah 40:1), to speak tenderly to Jerusalem (Isaiah 40:2), and to “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem” (Psalm 122:6). Guided directly by the immutable declaration of Genesis 12:3 — “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you” — we recognize our deep biblical obligation to answer this holy call with an alert, informed mind and the humble heart of a servant.

As the Body of Christ, we must answer our obligation to the Jewish people by standing alongside them — in a world that wants no part of them — with strength and support, service and solidarity, and most of all, unconditional love. Although we fully recognize and honor Yeshua Ha’Mashiach (Jesus the Messiah), our alliance with “the apple of God’s Eye” is not, nor shall it ever be, conditional upon their conversion to Christianity. In a global landscape that frequently demands we cease expressions of unwavering support, CSWI remains steadfast, holding firm and refusing to stay silent while theological distortions obscure God’s eternal choices.

The Two-Fold Purpose of CSWI

  1. To facilitate an alliance of Christian support throughout the nations for Israel and the Jewish people.
  2. To enhance and enrich the Church’s knowledge and understanding of its Hebrew roots and origin.

What We Believe

We believe that the Bible is the inerrant, inspired Word of God, and that its covenants are literal, unconditional, and eternal. The covenant God made with Abraham in Genesis 12 — subsequently confirmed to Isaac, reaffirmed to Jacob, and ratified through the Mosaic and Davidic covenants — was never revoked, never superseded, and never transferred to any other people or institution. The Church has not replaced Israel. The promises made to Abraham’s physical descendants remain in force, exactly as Scripture states, and the restoration of the Jewish people to their ancestral land in the twentieth century is one of the most stunning prophetic fulfillments in the entire biblical record.

We believe that Replacement Theology — the doctrine that the Church has inherited all of Israel’s covenant promises and that God is finished with the Jewish people as a nation — is a dangerous theological error with catastrophic historical consequences. It was Replacement Theology that provided the ideological soil in which Christian anti-Semitism grew for centuries, from the early Church Fathers through the Crusades, the Inquisition, the pogroms of Eastern Europe, and the theological silence of much of the institutional church during the Holocaust. We will not be silent. We will not be complicit. And we will not allow this error to go unchallenged.

We believe that the modern State of Israel, re-established in 1948 after nearly two thousand years of Jewish exile and dispersion, is a direct fulfillment of the prophetic Word of God. Ezekiel 37, Isaiah 11, Jeremiah 31, and Amos 9 — among many others — foretold a literal, physical return of the Jewish people to their land. That return is happening before our eyes. To stand against Israel today is, in the deepest sense, to stand against the declared purposes of the God of the Bible. Christians who understand their Scripture cannot be neutral.

Michael Knighton — CSWI Founder

Michael Knighton is an American author and researcher who has resided in Israel for more than twenty years, driven by a deep and passionate commitment to the Land and its people. He is the author of the peer-reviewed three-part series “The Theological Background of Christian Zionism,” published in both English and Hebrew in Nativ, the official publication of the Ariel Center for Policy Research (ACPR) — one of Israel’s most respected political and educational journals. The citation for this work is: Knighton, Michael. 2008. “Theological Background of Christian Zionism.” Nativ: ACPR 121(2):53–64.

Michael’s decades of devotion to Israel reflect an unyielding alignment with the biblical mandates of Scripture. Living and working in Israel has not been an abstract academic exercise — it has been a daily, lived participation in one of the most remarkable chapters of human history, the regathering of the Jewish people to the Land God promised them. He writes, teaches, and publishes from the front lines of that history, grounded in primary sources, archaeological scholarship, and an exhaustive knowledge of the biblical text in its original context.

His work through CSWI spans multiple disciplines: theological writing, historical research, original cartography (including the Maps of Israel that form the site’s resource library), investigative journalism on the Palestinian narrative myth, and direct advocacy for Christian engagement with Israel. The ministry’s “Palestine — The Myth” article series, currently in progress, is one of the most comprehensive examinations available anywhere of the historical, political, and theological falsehoods that underlie the modern Palestinian identity movement.

Grounded in the baseline covenant of Genesis 12:3 and capturing the prophetic urgency of Isaiah 62:1“For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness” — Michael works through CSWI to educate the nations, combat anti-Semitism, and facilitate both physical and spiritual support for Israel and the Jewish people. His commitment is not a phase, a season, or a campaign. It is a life’s work.

“We stand with Israel — not because of politics, not because of nationality, but because the Word of God commands it and the covenant of God demands it. Our support is Unshakable in conviction, Unflinching in the face of opposition, and Unconditional in its love for the Land and People of Israel.”

How CSWI Operates

Christians Standing With Israel is an online ministry and educational resource. We do not collect membership fees, sell subscriptions, or gate our content behind paywalls. Everything published on this site — every article, every map, every theological study, every investigative piece — is freely available to every person in the world with an internet connection. We believe that truth about Israel is not a commodity to be sold but a message to be proclaimed, freely and without restriction.

The ministry is sustained by the voluntary financial support of those who find its work valuable. If you have been informed, equipped, or strengthened by what you have found here, we invite you to consider supporting the work so that it can continue and expand. Every contribution directly funds the ongoing production of original research, new maps, new articles, and the maintenance of this platform.

We are also committed to theological integrity. Every position taken on this site is derived from Scripture, tested against the whole counsel of God, and documented with primary sources wherever the subject is historical or political. We do not traffic in conspiracy theories, sensationalism, or unverified claims. We hold ourselves to the standard that Michael Knighton’s published academic work has always upheld: rigorous, honest, and faithful to the evidence. When we say something happened, it happened. When we say Scripture teaches something, we show you the text. Our readers deserve nothing less.
